D | 辩方根据这点指毕丹星案也是首例，因此希望法官能批准将案件移交到高庭审理。不过辩方同时表示，申请把案件移交到高庭审理，并没有指国家法院“不够格”的意思。控方反驳指，毕丹星案和易华仁案性质不同，不可一概而论，而且控方将易华仁案移交高庭审理并非因为他曾是国会议员或部长的身份，更不是受到任何特别的对待。

E | 控方还说，不是每个公众感兴趣的个案都会移交高庭审理，国家法院也经常审理新型案件，包括那些在某些条文下首次被提控的案件。高庭法官符晓平听了双方一个上诉庭上陈词后，将案件展期到9月9日再针对毕丹星的申请作出裁决。在2021年底，国会特权委员会就盛港集选区前议员辣玉莎在国会撒谎一事举行听证会。国会后来将工人党议员毕丹星和费沙在听证上的行为是否抵触国会法令，交给总检查署展开调查。总检察署和警方完成调查后决定正式提控毕丹星。

F | 毕丹星今年3月份被控后表示对控状不认罪，之后聘请代表律师替他辩护。代表毕丹星的律师是ANDRE JUMABHOY律师事务所的律师Andre Darius Jumabhoy和Aristotle Emmanuel Eng Zhen Yang。在相关法令下，一旦被定罪，毕丹星可能被判最长三年监禁，或罚款高达7000元，或两者兼施。总检察署已表明，如果毕丹星的罪名成立，控方的立场是将请求法官针对两项控状判他罚款。
